A free Chess.com account gets **one full Game Review per day**. Gold has the same one-a-day limit, Platinum and Diamond get unlimited Game Review, and Diamond is the only plan that adds Coach explanations on all of your moves. That is what Chess.com's own Help Center says, as of October 22, 2026.

## Choose a route for the second game, then study one position

If you want more than one Game Review today, first decide whether you need Chess.com's guided review specifically or simply another engine check. Those are different needs. Reopening a review you already generated does not use another daily review; Chess.com confirms that in its [Game Analysis help](https://support.chess.com/en/articles/8583757-how-do-i-use-game-analysis), checked October 31, 2026. It helps you revisit yesterday's lesson, but it does not generate a new review of today's second game.

For another finished game, use Self Analysis to test your own ideas, choose a membership that explicitly includes unlimited Game Review, or export the PGN to an analysis board such as [Lichess](https://lichess.org/paste). The steps and limits below describe those options. You do not need to reproduce the same coloured labels on every site: find a critical position, compare your move with the engine suggestion, and explain the difference in a sentence. Our [guide to reviewing with and without Stockfish](/guides/should-i-analyze-my-chess-games-with-or-without-stockfish/) gives a routine for that comparison.

If you are deciding whether to pay rather than simply looking for a second review, use the separate [beginner's Premium decision checklist](/answers/is-chess-com-premium-worth-it-for-beginners/). The question there is whether you will use the extra features regularly. This page remains the practical route to additional reviews.

Both checked on October 22, 2026.

Two details catch people out:

- **Gold does not lift the limit.** Gold plans started on or after September 1, 2022 lost unlimited Game Review. They get everything a free account gets, so one full review a day, plus unlimited puzzles, lessons and no ads. Members who kept a Gold plan from before that date are on the legacy plan, which still lists unlimited Game Review.
- **Opening an old review again is free.** Chess.com says that viewing a Game Review you already generated does not count against your daily free limit ([How does Game Review work?](https://support.chess.com/en/articles/8584089-how-does-game-review-work), updated September 25, 2026). Find the game in your archive and open it.

## What the free review gives you

Chess.com says free members still see the key insights: an accuracy score from 0 to 100 and a classification for each move (Best, Good, Inaccuracy, Mistake, Blunder and so on). Free members can also use Self Analysis, the engine board where you step through the game yourself. Diamond adds Cloud Analysis and the Deep and Maximum engine strengths ([How do I use Game Analysis?](https://support.chess.com/en/articles/8583757-how-do-i-use-game-analysis), updated October 20, 2026).

The Help Center pages we checked do not say at what time of day the free counter resets, so we leave that out.

## Chess.com game review price

Unlimited Game Review comes with the Platinum and Diamond memberships. We don't quote a number here, because Chess.com shows prices by country and billing period on [its membership page](https://www.chess.com/membership), and its own trial article warns that prices in its screenshots may not be current. What the Help Center does say ([Is there a free trial on Chess.com?](https://support.chess.com/en/articles/8594490-is-there-a-free-trial-on-chess-com), updated July 13, 2026):

- Each eligible account can try Gold, Platinum, Diamond or the Family plan **free for 7 days, once**. You need a payment method, and the trial renews as a paid plan unless you cancel in time.
- First-time buyers get a 30-day refund guarantee.

If game review is the only reason you'd pay, remember that Gold won't change your daily number. Platinum is the first plan that does.

## How to get more than one game review on Chess.com, the legit way

1. **Reuse what you already have.** Re-open earlier reviews from your archive (free), and try Self Analysis to look through another game on your own.
2. **Upgrade, or trial first.** Platinum for unlimited reviews; Diamond if you also want the Coach to explain every move.
3. **Lichess computer analysis.** Lichess says [all its features are free for everybody](https://lichess.org/features). Its features page lists deep Stockfish 19 server analysis for 40 games per day, plus an unlimited analysis board and "Learn from your mistakes", on free and Patron accounts alike (checked October 22, 2026). You can paste any PGN, Chess.com games included, at [lichess.org/paste](https://lichess.org/paste). Requesting the computer analysis needs a free Lichess account.
4. **Other free reviewers.** [Chessigma](https://www.chessigma.com/) and [Chess It Up](https://chessitup.com/) both describe themselves as free game analysis with no daily limits, with Stockfish running in your browser (their own sites, October 2026). We haven't compared their engine depth or labels, so test them on a game you know well.
5. **Chess Coach, inside Claude.** The free plan gives you 1 in-depth, explained review per day. Plus is $3.99/month for 10 reviews a day, and Pro is $7.99/month for unlimited reviews with fair use (up to 20 a day). Limits reset at midnight UTC. Details on [pricing](/#pricing).

## What about "unlimited game review" extensions and hacks?

Searches for this topic turn up browser extensions, modified apps and "unlockers" that promise the paid review for free. We don't recommend any of them. Chess.com's [published policy for third-party extensions](https://support.chess.com/en/articles/9650547-what-is-the-pubapi-and-how-do-i-use-it) (updated October 19, 2026) bars extensions from scraping, calling undocumented endpoints or using other backend workarounds. Its article on [why accounts get disabled](https://support.chess.com/en/articles/9862558-why-is-my-chess-com-account-disabled) lists prohibited chess extensions among the fair-play reasons. A second review a day isn't worth your account, and every option above is allowed.

## How Chess Coach helps

Chess Coach is a connector for Claude and ChatGPT. You give your assistant your Chess.com or Lichess username, a game link or a PGN. Chess Coach runs Stockfish on its own server, and Claude explains the two or three moments that decided the game in plain words, on an interactive board with arrows, an evaluation graph and a Practice mistakes mode. It only reviews finished games and never asks for your chess password.

It doesn't try to copy Chess.com's review. The point is the explanation: why your move was weaker and what to look for next time. See [what the analysis includes](/features/ai-chess-analysis/), [how to connect it](/connect/) and the [full documentation](/docs.html). If your free Chess.com review left you with labels but no reasons, read [why Game Review isn't explaining your moves](/answers/chess-com-game-review-not-explaining-moves/), or compare all the options side by side in [Chess.com Game Review vs Chess Coach](/vs/chess-com-game-review/).

Chess Coach is independent and not affiliated with Chess.com or Lichess.
